New Lab Start Up

Setting up or renovating a lab can be a daunting process that requires careful planning and consideration.

Pluri can assist you by defining the essential equipment, appliances, safety supplies, storage, furniture, glassware/plastics, reagents and consumables you will need.

We can then manage the complete procurement process of kitting out your lab, making sure you get a great deal from suppliers while considering your timeframe for getting up and running.

One off equipment purchases

When buying equipment for your lab, Pluri is here to help. Our experience can assist you in making the best decision.

We will ask you the right questions to find out your requirements and select suitable suppliers.

We can then manage the project for you through the whole of the procurement cycle from specification gathering, RFP, running a tender (if necessary/wanted), bid evaluation/negotiation, contract award, delivery and installation.

Consumables/Reagents

Pluri is here to help bring down the daily cost of running your lab by negotiating pricing on your consumables and reagents.

Just share a list of your items with us and your estimated annual usage and we will look to negotiate the price down with key life science distributers.

We can cross reference your items between distributors to see if we can find you a better deal.

We can also negotiate your prices annually to make sure they don’t get overly inflated by suppliers.

We offer retainer agreements where you can hire a procurement specialist. This guarantees you access to their expertise on an ongoing basis for a regular fee. The retainer agreement allows your organisation to fill temporary skill gaps, access strategic support, and secure a dedicated procurement professional without committing to a permanent hire and the associated costs.

PRICES

We are incentivised by saving you money

We want to be transparent about our prices, above is a table that outlines how we charge for our services. As the discount increases so does the amount we charge, this incentivises us to get you the best deal possible. The percentage we charge is based on the total list price of the item/items excluding VAT.

We will not charge you for our services if we can’t secure you more than a 10% discount.

The above prices are a guideline and they are negotiable depending on the size of the project.

Below is an example to show you how our pricing works.

Example – A complete new lab set up, with new equipment, instruments and consumables. Total list price for all items needed is £100,000. Pluri negotiates a discount for you of 38% on all items, a saving of 38k. We will charge you 4.8% of the list price for all items or 4.8k. Minus our charge you will save 33.2k.

We have a minimum spend of £5000, this can be made up of multiple items such as an annual consumables and reagents list or multiple pieces of equipment.

Our services are also available via a retainer agreement where you will have ongoing access to our services at short notice. Charges will be based on a negotiated recurring fee.
